15. Jun 2025 - 15. Aug 2025

Turi Gramstad Oliver – A Life in Design

Turi Gramstad Oliver (b. 1938) has left a lasting mark on Norwegian homes for generations. As a designer for Figgjo Fajanse from 1960 to 1980, she created a number of iconic tableware collections—Lotte, Daisy, Granada, Market, Maja, Saga, and Folklore, to name just a few.

With her playful illustrations, vibrant motifs, and distinctive visual language, Turi's designs quickly became part of our shared cultural heritage—and they remain just as beloved today as when they first appeared.

Turi’s creations are more than decoration—they tell stories. Her signature style blends the whimsical with the practical, resulting in pieces that not only brighten the table but also evoke memories and spark joy.

It’s no wonder that Turi’s designs are sought-after collectibles both in Norway and internationally.

This exhibition invites you behind the scenes into Turi’s imaginative world. Discover original sketches, drafts, and rare objects that offer a unique glimpse into her creative process. You'll also get a taste of how her artistic expression extends beyond ceramics—into textiles, paper, and embroidery. Turi remains an active artist to this day.

Whether you're a designer, illustrator, art enthusiast, or simply someone who loves nostalgia and beautiful things, this is an exhibition you won’t want to miss. Come celebrate one of Norway’s greatest design icons—and maybe you’ll discover a new favorite along the way!
